Glen CoeSunday, 7 January 2001. This was loads of fun - started at the bottom of a hanging glacial valley at around 120 metres (400 feet) and got up to around 750 metres (2500 feet) before the snow became impossibly thick and horrid. Pity, because the saddle was only another 250 metres up (800 feet). Not being the lightest of folk, 2 feet of snow when it's not quite completely frozen becomes a bit of an obstacle when one sinks in up to one's knees! |
